The Bible Verse Page is a "special campaign" that runs for a period of 16 weeks. Most pages consist of around 30 to 40 sponsors. Every week each sponsor on the page gives away a free Bible. In the ad of each sponsor there will be a Scripture verse printed on it with a "clue" as to where the verse is located. It will be something like this, "found between John 2 and John 4". The reader locates and identifies three Scriptures and sends them to the paper. The paper chooses the "winner", and the winner's name appears the next week in the ad in which the reference was found. The recipient then takes the advertisement with their name on it to that business to claim their Bible. Community Features uses a very high quality Bible, which has study references and a dictionary.
We place on the page the maximum number of sponsors the market will allow, usually about 40. The price the majority of papers charge is $25.00 per week with the campaign running 16 weeks. Community Features furnishes the Scripture for each ad every week. We deliver the Bibles to each sponsor and get a contract signed by them agreeing to stay the full 16 weeks and acknowledging receipt of the 16 Bibles. The cost of the Bibles to the paper is $3.00 each. Community Features takes care of ordering the Bibles and having them shipped directly to the paper. Our commission of one-third is paid at the end of the selling period, minus 10% "hold back" in case there is an unforeseen no pay or bankruptcy, etc.
Taking the average figure of 40 sponsors @ $25.00 per week for 16 weeks, your paper could easily realize between $9000.00 to $10,000.00 additional revenue.
